Thanks to Linkedin, I’ve been featured as a Social Media Expert (not my favorite term, but hey, that’s what they called me lol), on a nationally syndicated television show. Yes, the Producer found me, and contacted me on LinkedIn, to book me for the tv show!
In 2015, I closed a 5-figure consulting contract, after one phone call, and one, in-person meeting. How? Through Linkedin! The hiring executive found my profile on Linkedin, and was immediately convinced that I was the exact person that they were searching for, and he was right! My Linkedin profile really sealed the deal for me. I just had to show up to sign on the dotted line.
You know what Linkedin doesn’t have?
-
Annoying bots that leave generic, automatic, unrelated comments on your posts (yes, I’m calling you out Instagram).
-
An algorithm that is set up for you to fail (Facebook, yup, I’m talking about you).
-
An unclear purpose, and unfriendly user interface, for most people over the age of 25 (sorry Snapchat, but I still love you though lol).
Basically, Linkedin is for grown-ups looking to build their professional network, hire people in real life for paying jobs, and for people who are looking for work, looking for new clients, or looking to expand their professional reach and opportunities.
Linkedin is not where people go to play around. Professionals on Linkedin mean business, and if you’re about your business, then you need to have a strong presence on Linkedin.
Did I mention that your Linkedin profile shows up in search results under your name in Google? Yeah, that’s just another reason for you to keep your profile updated and on point!
In August of 2017, Linkedin changed the game by adding video to their platform. Now you are able to record a video, right from their app, or upload a previously recorded video to your profile. This is huge!
“After you post a video, you can see audience insights such as the top companies, titles and locations of your viewers, as well as how many views, likes, and comments your videos are receiving. With these insights you can begin to understand if you’re reaching the people and companies that matter to you. You can find audience insights in the dashboard section of your LinkedIn profile on both mobile and desktop.” ~ via the Linkedin blog

With free challenges, people tend to start off strong, then phase out in the middle of the challenge, and miss out on the benefits of completing the entire challenge.
-
With free challenges, there is usually a lack of accountability and seriousness, when it comes to following through on the daily challenges, because you haven’t invested anything in it.
I only want you to join this challenge if you’re serious about building your online brand, making moves in your career, and growing a profitable personal brand or business, using Linkedin.
I am going to use my very valuable knowledge to invest in you, but only you can decide if you are worth investing in. Understood?
