Photos allow your website visitors to see what your brand is all about in a way that text can’t. 2. Social Media icons above the fold.


As soon as I arrive to your website, I should see your social media links (without having to scroll). Remember, most every person that visits your website is active on at least one social media platform. If you’re active on social media too (which you should be), give them the opportunity to connect with you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. When your customers are connected with your brand through social media, it gives you a chance to build a personal relationship with them, and build trust over time.

You want to get the most out of your website visitors, and make it easy for them to stay connected with you, AND share your brand with their friends. Add social media share buttons to your site so they can easily Tweet a page on your website, Facebook like or share it, or post it on Linkedin or Google+. Showing your brand’s value through video is always better than text alone. If you have high-quality videos that highlight what your brand has to offer, they should be on your website. There’s nothing more powerful than rave reviews and recommendations from your clients and customers. Whether you have text testimonials with photos, or video testimonials, they should be showcased on your website for your visitors to see within the first 30 seconds of arriving to your website.

There is power in your list! No matter what your other marketing efforts are on social media, or anywhere else, building your e-mail subscriber list is one of the most important strategies you can use. Free websites don’t represent your brand in the best and most professional way possible. The WordPress platform has become the standard, and the most popular and user-friendly platform for you to build your brand’s website on. If you’re still using flash, or a basic html based website, it’s time for an upgrade.
